TRANCE4M Are Throwing A Pool Party To Show How Trance & Techno Are Good For Mental Health

Often celebrated as an uplifting and euphoric genre with ebullient melodies that soothe the soul, trance could very well be linked to positive mental health. And if you need further convincing, the team from TRANCE4M and Last One Standing are throwing their inaugural LAST BEATZ full-day jamboree, an undertaking combining electronic music and wellness without any ‘soft clubbing’ spiels. The seasoned trance troopers have been known for hoisting the genre’s flag high with regular DIY gigs and international guests like Amy Wiles and John Askew, but this is the first time they’re shifting gears like this – and they’ve got quite the wholesome programme lined up.

Billed as an event with three experiences from afternoon till late, LAST BEATZ takes place at Amara Hotel with a pool party kick-off. The party begins with throwbacks to progressive and peak-time classics that will make any trance (and techno) devotees nostalgic, helmed by the lineup of ROB-Z and Tony Hang from TRANCE4M, Haikal Ahmad (Malaysia) and LONSKII (resident and founder of Thai festival Unkonscious). Once it gets dark, the party then makes an enlightening detour with a one-hour panel discussion hosted by TRANCE4M and Revelry, covering the topics of mental health and music, creating safe festival experiences, and the evolution of rave culture. Following these nuggets of wisdom, the music switches back on with more trance-meets-techno mash-ups, with DANIELANG, Pengsoo, LONSKII and Obsidian (OMEN) cranking up the intensity and stimulating that sweet spot in your brain. If all this sounds like the healing you need, then don’t skip this party prescription.
