Is trance a permanent state for you? It’s been resoundingly clear through the years that trance is a genre that’s built a sturdy nest in our scene, housing a loyal legion of devotees who can never seem to give it up. The endearing subculture is still making its presence felt even in this never-ending limbo, and keeping it in play is the crew from Last One Standing. Local trance fans might know this name as the event promoters behind TRANCE4M, a burgeoning community and platform for the beloved genre in Singapore. Loading their guns with one last hoorah for the year, Last One Standing has come up with a month-spanning initiative that wraps up 2021 with a bang.

Aptly called Euphoria 2021 Year-End Mix, the digital stream is a hulked-up version of TRANCE4M’s flagship series of the same name. Going far beyond a one-day occurrence, this special edition of Euphoria will broadcast individual sets across 14 days to showcase the staggering breadth of the city’s trance DJ and producer circuit. On the lineup is a sweeping spectrum of homegrown – and regional – acts, including the likes of Fish Winters (Rainbow Productions), Joshen (7 Colour Records), Kaeiz (Apparatus), Yukun (Re:Activate Asia), Zhiroc, Tony Hang and many others. You’ll hear everything from rolling beat salvos and flowing synth textures to Elysian vocal melodies, celebrating all the fields of trance that include psychedelic, tech, uplifting and even hard trance.

Last One Standing and TRANCE4M first launched in 2018 with the vision to push trance through the metropolis. The crew has previously worked with institutions such as Zouk Singapore, Canvas, Bar Rouge, and D’Underground, where it pushed its events with growing hype. After the pandemic hit, it began releasing regular episodes of its Euphoria series which you can tune into via its YouTube channel and Facebook page.

As a trance fan, or a fan of dance music in general, you might not be able to send off 2021 with a like-minded tribe in a rambunctious room with pounding music. But with all these troopers coming together for one cause – to brandish the strength and unity of trance – this could be your next best thing.

TRANCE4M presents Euphoria 2021 Year-End Mix. Sets will be streamed on 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 29, 31 December 2021 on its YouTube channel.
