*SCAPE & Steady State Records Are Manifesting A NYE Edition Of Their ‘Music Day Out!’ Gig

Are you manifesting a manic end to the year where you can drown your regrets in loud music while rocking out to regional acts? Well if you’ve been manifesting hard for that specific but admirable desire, it looks like *SCAPE and Steady State Records are teaming up to answer that call with their year-end bash. The youth-focused institution collaborates with the music consultancy (Steady State Records also co-owns AXEAN Festival) for the sophomore edition of Music Day Out!, this time with the fitting theme of “Manifest” that echoes the viral ritual of manifestation. Manifest: Music Day Out! returns as part of *SCAPE’s COMMA Creative Arts Festival, fostering youth creativity while championing indie and alternative music scenes. And we see that DNA in this edition’s lineup.

The gig will feature 14 acts from Singapore and across the region, performing across two stages at *SCAPE Playspace and Ground Theatre. And although the organisers are still keeping the full lineup on the down-low, they’ve dropped a delectable teaser with their first-wave release. Following a tremendous North American tour supporting Anamanaguchi, indie-pop frontrunners Sobs bring it back home with their jangly spunky sound. Experimental art duo TZECHAR, who run the SORRY NO CURE parties, unleash their unorthodox capers blending music and digital media. And iiARA, formerly singer-songwriter Chloe Ho, exhibits her new alt-hip-hop alias. They will be joined by other regional powerhouses, including Thailand’s self-professed ‘Bangkok Evilcore’ band Whispers, and indie-pop compatriots DOOR PLANT.
