Have you heard of Wallich the 9th? Well according to the constructed fabled background of Wallich Manor, the enigmatic alias refers to a “fictional persona with a rebellious yet refined nature”, one whose charisma has seeped into the space carved into Sofitel Singapore City Centre. It’s a compelling brand story with a standout spiel, and it’s an approach not unlike its sister concepts under Tipsy Collective (remember their recent rainbow-crusted Tipsy Unicorn reveal?). With its own manner of measured gusto that’s more panache than flash, Wallich Manor is another nightlife contender that now plans to craft its own story – non-fiction this time.

Aside from the credible pedigree of Tipsy Collective backing this endeavour, Wallich Manor is also helmed by Wayne Liu, whom music enthusiasts would easily recognise as iconic hip-hop turntablist KoFlow. The manor isn’t Wayne’s first rodeo running an F&B concept; the man-of-many-tricks was also spearheading Honcho previously. But in this next arc, you’ll find him programming themed entertainment nights ranging from hip-hop throwdowns to house-tuned soirees. The 635 sq ft establishment has even hosted international guests including Total Eclipse (The X-Ecutioners), DJ Cash Money and Laurie (TEAM WANG); and local takeovers from SHiOCK and Element.

It's not just the tunage that deserves mention. Turns out Wallich the 9th has a discerning palate as well. For the gastronomes, Wallich Manor flaunts a menu of contemporary European cuisine with specialties like the Traditional Chicken Mousse, Wallich Prime Beef Rib and Grilled Octopus & Porridge. The drinks department is steered by the award-winning Mohamed Azlam S/O Abdul Kadir and his bar team, showcasing a roster of signature cocktails and high-intensity punch bowls perfect for six servings.

You might never meet Wallich the 9th in the flesh, but you can expect to experience the protagonist’s lifestyle of decadence and debauchery that this abode promises.
