You’re probably familiar with its meteoric rise from viral online show to household name at events and festivals all around the world. Now for the first time since its launch in 2010, the Boiler Room phenomenon is coming to our city, reinforcing Singapore’s status as a must-stop metropolis in Asia for major players in the dance music industry.

But the long-awaited emergence of Boiler Room in Singapore, as you’d might imagine, is no small feat. To commemorate an occasion as monumental as this, other high-flying authorities in the local industry have stepped up to make this event possible. In this case, the celebrated legacy of Heineken is coming to the fray, tying this historical milestone with its 150th year anniversary party called Heineken presents Destination Good Times.

Heineken is of course fully experienced when it comes to organising unforgettable party spectaculars. From its renowned Heineken Green Room events to massive product launch shindigs at mega venues, Heineken has the means necessary to host an entity as enormous as the Boiler Room franchise. In appropriate fashion, the venue that Heineken has picked is equally iconic, selecting the portside habitat of Tanjong Pagar Distripark to host a two-day event on 28 and 29 July.

The performance roster for the Boiler Room entertainment – powered by Heineken, and co-curated by prominent local label, Darker Than Wax, that got the ball rolling on this endeavour – is headlined by international acts, Alex Kassian and Kamma and Masalo, who’ve toured the world with their brand of club-ready, crowd-spurring selections. The arrival of Boiler Room in Singapore also represents a grand showcase of Singaporean selectors to its global community of spectators, boasting an ensemble of established acts and rising scene-shakers proficient in a spectrum of varying genres – a perfect exemplification of the melting pot that is our tiny cosmopolitan city. Handpicked for this gig are Dean Chew and Kaye (Darker Than Wax); Aalely, PETYET and Kindergarchy (Strange Weather), Helios XL (Revision Music), Zig Zach (Blackout Agency), Sivanesh (Sivilian Affairs), along with Jenn Chunes and Bongomann (Super Enjoy).

Like all Heineken events, this one doesn’t skimp on the off-floor facilities either. Sip on a bespoke, Heineken-inspired cocktail from the He150ken World Bar in collaboration with Sago House. Head to The Salvages bar to snag your limited edition He150ken | The Salvages t-shirt. And wolf down your beer with bites from Two Men Bagel House, Lavi or Gyushi. Heineken and Boiler Room? Good Times are definitely shaping up.
