Gather your party posse for this feel-good kampung affair. Always about fostering a open community with its open-format policy, Kampong Boogie strikes the midnight bell with Straight Outta Kampong. Aside from being their last event of the year, the convivial jamboree will also be its swan song at Projector X: Riverside. The revival of the party scene this year has shown an overwhelming burst of diversity, and this event by Bad Ideas Only is showing that in full force. Called Bass Night New Year, the NYE edition of the bass-centric series unleashes a stuffed platter of sounds to keep you entertained all evening. Brace yourself for the galloping journeys of psy-trance (Ambient Energy) and urban volleys of left-field bass (Krstn), together with the punishing onslaughts of hard dance (Rey) and hyper antics of glitchcore (xaetherx). This event’s got plenty of hard-hitting bullets in its chamber – locked and loaded to send off 2022.

Ring in the new year with reggae

Usher in the glow of a new year with the spirit of Rastafari. Local reggae pioneers, Dub Skank’in Hifi team up with Singapore Soul for a special New Year’s Day edition of Sunsplash Sunday. They’re taking over the rooftops of Ann Siang at The Otherside, an intimate rooftop bar that’s a fittingly sublime setting for upbeat tropical selections spanning reggae, ska, rocksteady, dub, dancehall and soul.
