The beauty of a well-tailored festival lies in its ability to enrapture you within its ecosystem. Granting attendees an escape across a milieu of multi-disciplinary entertainment, festivals ultimately have the power to enrich, educate and gratify. Possessing this sanctuary-esque appeal of its own, Sunda Festival aims to be no exception.

You’re already acquainted with the diverse tapestry of its musical programme, roping in DJs and live acts from some of the region’s most flourishing scenes – ours included. But the pledge of Sunda was always mightier than music from the very beginning, promising an all-rounded fleet of activity-mongers to flourish the fringe. In between the beats, you’ll find an astonishing array of vendors, artists, specialists and workshops to tickle your mind and nourish your body in ways you probably haven’t even considered. Sunda gives this gift to all festival-goers; you just need to embrace the unknown.

Wellness and wellbeing initiatives are ripe on festival grounds, with a cacao ceremony hosted by Melissa Tan, a dream interpretation workshop by Livy Von Goh, a mindfulness meditation session by Ryan Grimes, Chinese tea-tasting by Tea Jockey, a sound healing session by Amanda Ling, and a cosmic soul expression session by vocalist ArunDitha from Mantravine. You’ll even find cold water immersion therapy provided by ThriveX.

As a family-friendly jamboree, Sunda offers activities for the young’uns with a scavenger hunt organised by Play!, and a kids’ craft workshop by the artist Polina Korobova (‘Glitter Queen’). And if you’re seeking creative inspiration and enlightening dialogues, attend a self-exploration and entrepreneurship workshop by BILDA, or a panel on cross-border musical collaboration hosted by Anastasiya Varenytsya, featuring artists from the festival lineup.

Recovery is done right at Sunda, and you’ll certainly find this with the numerous gastronomic offerings on-site. Sidecar Handcrafted is firing up its grilled artisanal sausages, Monument Lifestyle is dishing out generously loaded fries along with hot and chilled bevvies from their coffee cart, while Puck Provisions provides vegan options with medicinal concoctions from Boujee Botanicals and Amanita Kombucha. And seeing that Sunda is co-organised by Ice Cream Sundays, it’s no surprise to see the inclusion of Offtrack, fresh off its Asia’s 50 Best accolade to team up with Maxi Coffee for its signature Asian-inspired nosh paired with premium coffee.

Be willing to make detours and unexpected pit-stops while you have your musical intermissions. Rejuvenate your mind, body and soul with Sunda’s cornucopia of lifestyle activities designed to do what a festival does best.
