You’ve scarfed down their beloved Garlic Noodles and indulged in their Burnt Chili Dip that always hits the spot. You’ve taken swigs of their Saturn cocktails and probably had one too many Espresso Martinis. And you’ve cruised through the evening within its impeccably chiselled space, acoustically designed to enhance soundtracks of house, funk, electronica and other worldly selections. It’s been one flourishing year since Offtrack planted its roots in the city, and it’s now commemorating its first anniversary with a week-long celebration that epitomises its core credo of “Guided by Leisure”.

The sound and decor of the space is perfectly tuned for slick, leisure-conscious vibes

The trendsetting and buzz-garnering waterhole – it made the 50 Best Discovery list last November – showcases a stacked five-day programme from 31 January to 4 February. Steered by the minds behind local collectives, Darker Than Wax and Ice Cream Sundays, Offtrack presents a series of bar takeovers, boosted residencies and visiting guest DJs to ring in its hatchday.

Kicking things off on the 31st is a regional takeover from The Philippines, featuring bar duties from Manila’s OTO – hailed as one of Asia’s Best Bars – and on-deck offerings from St. Vincent & The Grenadines. Asian Boogie aficionado, Itch, follows up with an anniversary edition of his Nightcap residency where he explores vintage vinyl rarities, together with DTW captain, Dean Chew.

On 2 February, smooth selector, Daryl Knows, takes over Offtrack’s Sound Room series alongside a hardware-flaunting live set from Bongomann and Fzpz. Cosmopolitan promoters, Tropika, gets a warm welcome from Offtrack the next day with the globetrotting tunes of Ramesh. And finally on the 4th, Offtrack delivers the sophomore edition of its Tempo series with Bandung’s Munir, who’s repped the Indonesian scene with boogielicious cuts as part of Midnight Runners.

Make a booking. Arrive ravenous. Huddle up in your favourite spot and let loose with yet another on-point evening at Offtrack. Bring out the birthday cake.

Offtrack, 34 North Canal Road, Singapore 059290. Its first anniversary programme happens from 31 January to 4 February 2023.
