Parties in Singapore are back with a vengeance. So much so, that there’s now one fiery enough to wake up the gates of Hell – all 10 Courts of it. It’s time to unleash your inner devil on the dancefloor once again at Haw Par Villa, the city’s notorious folklore theme park that still gives grown adults the heebie jeebies till this day. Bringing back the fiesta to this freaky domain is Outer Bounce, and the presence of these partymongers is as elusive as the demons that will watch over this revelry.

Identifying themselves as neither a collective nor a crew of promoters, Outer Bounce is a concept that’s defined by the vibe at hand. “We are the spaces we occupy,” they enigmatically explain, “the music reverberating all through your body, and the tribe on the dancefloor”. They throw their debut shindig in Singapore on 20 August at the Rise of Asia Museum, an emerging attraction that's opening its doors in Haw Par Villa. It will be a fresh location that’s different from the past raves organised by other party hosts, which include Ice Cream Sundays and Mugic Soundsystem. With Outer Bounce, we’re getting something totally new.

Outer Bounce takes pride on having its finger on the pulse of Asia’s underground electronic scene, and it shows in this inaugural event. Cranking out the grooves is Thailand’s Sunju Hargun, who’s no stranger to our shores with his eclectic blend of experimental electronica and hypnotic techno. He drops in before steering the ship of Karma Kastle, his renowned festival that happens next in October. Also on the lineup is his labelmate from Siamese Twins Records, Yoshi Nori, who bases his activities in Taiwan. Yoshi is the captain of his own label, 禁 JIN, that dabbles in four-on-the-floor with a futuristic slant. And wrapping up the ensemble is Singapore’s own Yadin Moha, the veteran behind the soul-feeding Breakfast Club parties. He’s spent the past couple of years spreading his wings (and his on-deck wisdom) in Hong Kong with his Radio Huru Hara show.

So expose yourself to Asia’s inner rhythms with Outer Bounce. All you gotta do is go to Hell, right here in Singapore.
