Ciel Social Are Throwing A Beachy Anniversary Party With A Progressive House Heavyweight

These guys have certainly been sociable in the scene this past year. It’s not easy to rise as a promoter these days, but the Ciel Social fellas have been putting their best foot forward with no missteps along the way – check out our interview with the Ciel dream team. From rooftop jams to forest fiestas and even sub-zero throwdowns, Ciel Social events have kept audiences on their toes while hopping across habitats. It’s been the magic ingredient in their sauce, spiced with a potpourri of genres including psytrance, organic house, melodic techno and progressive house. No one Ciel Social gig is ever the same, and this next one is primed to blow things out of the water.

On 12 August, Ciel Social commemorate their first anniversary in the style they know how. Bringing it back to the beachy locale of Sand Bar at Sentosa – where they hosted a seaside edition of their Social Sunsets series back in March – Ciel Social have lined up a headlining heavyweight all the way from Colombia. Highly respected in the progressive house circuit, Kamilo Sanclemente brings his forte and flair to Singapore, busting out sounds that’ve been released on labels like Anjunadeep, The Soundgarden and All Day I Dream. With his delivery of plush textures, sublime melodies and hypnotic beatwork, Kamilo is a perfect fit for the progressive identity that Ciel Social has been pushing. And did we mention? Kamilo’s set to play a three-hour extended set.

Aside from their signature events, Ciel Social is also recognised for its trio of residents who possess a sweeping repertoire of tracks. From serendipitous party buddies to Ciel Social chieftains, Chirag K, Andre Marc and Halis have been cutting their teeth in the local DJ community and their talents have not gone unnoticed. It’s only fitting that these three musketeers will support Kamilo Sanclemente throughout the full-day revelry, scheduled to blast off from 4pm till midnight.
