After taking a short break to recalibrate, we are finally back with a new episode of the 15-Min Flash Mix. On Episode 18, we’re featuring local house producer and DJ, KNIGHTNDAE, who’s been gradually gaining traction these last few years.

The architecture student has spun at several high-profile venues including Canvas, Get Juiced, 360 Lounge, D’Underground, Zouk for its live-stream, and even Baliza during the F1 weekend. And in the studio, you can hear him dabble in polished originals and whimsical house edits of pop cultural songs ranging from video games to Singaporean sitcoms – he did a flip on the Wii theme song; how rad is that?

For the 15-Min Flash Mix, KNIGHTNDAE has put together a mix called “For the late nights till daylight”, and it’s a salute to the memories of his party nights in San Francisco when he studied abroad.

“It is a collection of tunes that has been inspiring me since two years ago when I was doing a semester aboard in the US. I experienced many great things in the Bay Area, travelling to San Francisco every weekend to attend shows and to meet other music producers,” KNIGHTNDAE shares. “Juggling music and being an architecture student was not easy, so cold, late-night walks from the studio back to my house were aplenty and I would then continue to work till daylight. Fast forward to today, this collection of tracks reflects a more introspective environment that we live in.”

Aptly, his 15-Min Flash Mix mix the depicts the journey of dusk till dawn, encompassing nocturnal vocal deep house, hazy lo-fi house, and other energising numbers with hints of soul and French touch. It’s sophisticated. It’s sleek. It’s swirly. It’s a progression avid partygoers are all familiar with. And KNIGHTNDAE has captured it perfectly.
