Episode 41 of Life In Arpeggio’s 15-Min Flash Mix is now in session. Turning up the vibe is Vaibs, a familiar face for anyone who frequents parties at Headquarters, Tuff Club or MDLR. The Thugshop resident has had a momentous run with his mastery on the decks, playing all-night marathons and opening sets for the likes of Drunken Kong, PIG&DAN and Christian Smith. Representing the nightlife collective, Vaibs has also recently racked up Thugshop takeovers at Savage in Hanoi and Under 9 in Kuala Lumpur.

Vaibs is also the founder of Unmute.sg, which has begun peppering the scene with its series of pop-up parties. It’s a growing force that’s gained traction by collaborating with other promoters such as Ciel Social and Sivilian Affairs, bringing down international acts including Baldo and Fake Tattoos.

For the 15-Min Flash Mix, Vaibs puts on an array of clanging, banging techno that chugs on like a freight train. With fingers hot on the controls, this one’s packed with speedy transitions and seamless segues, jammed with steamy synth riffs, tight shuffling percussions and vocals spanning tribal choruses and cheeky pop cultural cameos. It’s got elements of hard groove, acid and even hip-hop; an exemplary medley of Vaibs’ extraordinary repertoire. Bringing the heat, this is Vaibs.
