It’s been a hot minute, but we’re now back with a fresh season of Life In Arpeggio’s 15-Min Flash Mix. In case you’re new to this, the 15-Min Flash Mix is a series where we invite Singapore-based DJs to spin a story in the span of 15 minutes. And kicking us off right now is the inimitable Joshua Dillon.

No stranger to the local scene, Joshua Dillon is a bundle of energy who’s played for Zouk, MDLR, Drip, Revelry and It’s The Ship. And he has a new night coming up called Tempest that explores darker and heavier soundscapes. The accomplished hotshot DJ has recently entered a new chapter as a producer, where he explores the more belligerent realm of hard techno which you’ll hear in this mix.

Here you have a hard techno assault that slams like a cannonball. You get monster kicks that shake the room, and wild vocal samples that will rile up a dancefloor. It goes haywire in the best way possible, with sneaky elements of hardstyle and psytrance tossed in for good measure. Joshua even weaves in his latest original production called “Identity Crisis”, launching this mix with Indian vocal chants and stabby high synths.

The 15-Min Flash Mix is back. Joshua Dillon, take us away.
