She’s a Singaporean export we’re proud to call our own. We’re locked into episode 37 of the 15-Min Flash Mix with an experienced selector much loved by the scene – the one and only EJ Missy. Despite moving to Kuala Lumpur, EJ remains rooted to the Singaporean community with a firm grip on the local gig circuit.

An accomplished veteran since the early 2000s, EJ was instrumental in marketing kyō, the iconic club space that had an exceptional run before shifting up north. Beyond her promotional know-how, she’s also what we’d call a smorgasbord performer, touching the DJ decks with a platter of wisdom. EJ’s been an integral player in the scene’s growth through the decades, having held past residencies at storied institutions like Supperclub and Kandi Bar, with gigs at other high-profile establishments like Butter Factory, Ministry of Sound Singapore, Home Club and Zouk. Needless to say, her contributions are very much part of our scene’s history.

For the 15-Min Flash Mix, EJ Missy sets us off on an expedition of exotic auras, transporting you to vivid sceneries of lush forests or cliff-sculpted islands. She plucks gems from the genres of organic house and melodic techno, including songs from Marsh, Kate Simko, The London Electronic Orchestra and more. It’s a seamless choreography of strings, synths, woodwinds and percussions; a simmering cauldron of intoxicating grooves, potent to the very last beat. Have a taste with EJ Missy.
