Respected as one of the three musketeers behind A Phat Cat Collective, Francesca has been a driving force behind some of the scene’s most intrepid nightlife concepts. Together with Joshua Pillai and Yafith A. Hamid, she’s built up the ’80s arcade and discotheque that is NINETEEN80, the equally nostalgic Pinball Wizard that’s currently hibernating, and lately, the steampunk-themed Rails that peddles both boozy concoctions and a mean fried chicken sandwich. These are fantastical spots that dream up the notion of escape, not unlike the eloquent sets that Francesca pieces together behind the decks.

Her contribution to the 15-Min Flash Mix invites you to take a mosey down memory lane, as it slips into a stream of charming vintage cuts. She keeps the tempo nice and slow, simmering like a stew of goodies that gets better with every bite. Rich with flavours of downtempo boogie and retro soul, this is a smooth set that will make you wanna throw on your spandex and sway. It’s scrumptiously sensual, ripe with swagger, and brimming with “Hallelujah!” moments that just make you wish the dance floors were open again.
