The best kind of treasures are the ones you find out of serendipity. With his brand of crystalline, mesmeric synth-pop, ARNT is an evocative bedroom producer I stumbled upon a couple of years ago. In fact, he was one of the first artistes I interviewed for Life In Arpeggio, and I’ve continued keeping tabs on his simmering progress. Now, in full circle, ARNT returns with his take on the 15-Min Flash Mix, an ongoing series where local producers and DJs tell a story in just 15 minutes.

ARNT first surfaced with big visions in his soundtracks, using the power of production to create a sonic atlas of worlds. He embraced the electronic realm completely, making a huge leap from his formative interests in genres like pop-punk and metal. Although he now creates within a different dimension, he’s adopted the melodic sentiments of those influences to build terrains blanketed with emotion, full of big hooks and serene textures. Think a big bang of elation, allure, heartbreak and aggression.

Now for the 15-Min Flash Mix, ARNT has pieced together a euphoric and kaleidoscopic set of vivid synthscapes. With a combo of organic and digitalised elements, he’s whipped up a set of thumpers and neo-ballads, inviting you into a world of fantasy. What’s even more riveting is that he’s done up an all-original set of unreleased demos and other surprises just for this mix. So strap yourself in. This is ARNT’s pocket journey.
